The Progressive Next Generation Initiative (PNGI) has felicitated with the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, on the occasion of his 59th birthday, lauding his contributions to democracy, governance, and national development.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, and signed by its director of Media, Press and Publicity, Hon. Mathias Zadok, the group described the Vice President as “a patriot, visionary leader, and dependable partner in the task of nation-building.”

PNGI noted that Shettima’s public service record, from his tenure as Comissioner at different ministries and later Governor of Borno State, through his time in the Senate, to his current position as Vice President, underscores his uncommon dedication to inclusive leadership, democracy, and the nurturing of generational talents for national progress.

“Your leadership inspires the next generation. As you celebrate this milestone, we commend your courage, resilience, and unrelenting commitment to the Nigerian project. You remain a shining example of service, sacrifice, and faith in our nation’s greatness,” the statement read in part.

The group also reaffirmed its mission as a data analytics, research-driven and advocacy platform within the All Progressives Congress (APC). It pledged its readiness to collaborate with the Office of the Vice President in projecting the uncommon achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration with verifiable statistical facts and figures across the six geopolitical zones of the country.

As the nation enters a critical decision-making period, PNGI said it would continue to promote the values of transparency, accountability, and informed political participation in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

PNGI further prayed for renewed energy, wisdom, knowledge, and good health for Vice President Shettima as he continues to work alongside President Tinubu in advancing peace, unity, stability, and prosperity in Nigeria.

“On behalf of its convener, chairman, leadership, and members nationwide, PNGI warmly wished the Vice President a happy and fulfilling 59th birthday” the statement added.
