President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday departed Abuja for Europe to begin his 2025 annual leave, the Presidency has confirmed.
According to a statement issued by a Presidential Spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, the President will embark on a 10-working-day vacation, which will be spent between France and the United Kingdom.
Onanuga described the trip as a working vacation, indicating that official engagements may still feature during the President’s stay abroad. He added that Tinubu will return to the country at the end of the period.
The announcement comes as the administration continues to navigate pressing national issues, with the President expected to maintain remote oversight of governance activities while away.
This latest trip marks the President’s formal commencement of his 2025 annual leave.
