Kebbi State Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Hon. Muhammad Dahiru Ambursa, has felicitated with Muslims in Kebbi and across the nation on the celebration of Eid El-Maulud, calling for reflection on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SWT) as a pathway to peace and progress.
In his goodwill message, Ambursa described the Prophet as “a revered figure whose virtues of compassion, justice, and peace remain a guiding light for humanity.” He urged citizens to embrace love, kindness, and mutual respect in order to foster harmony and development in Kebbi State and beyond.
“As we commemorate this significant event, I call on the people of Kebbi to imbibe the spirit of love and peace that the Prophet embodied,” Ambursa said. “In this era of challenges and uncertainties, it is imperative that we come together as one people, united in our pursuit of progress and development.”
The ALGON Chairman also expressed deep appreciation to Governor Nasir Idris for what he described as the governor’s “unwavering support and commitment to local government autonomy.” According to him, Governor Idris’ leadership has been pivotal in strengthening grassroots administration and empowering local governments to deliver essential services to communities across the state.
Ambursa concluded his message with prayers for peace, prosperity, and unity, stating: “May the teachings of Prophet Mohammed (SWT) guide us towards a path of righteousness, peace, and prosperity. Together, we can build a brighter future for Kebbi State.”
