Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, CON, has earned commendation for his remarks at the presentation and review of “Where I Stand”, the book authored by Sheikh Abubakar Mahmud Gumi and translated by Dr. Ibrahim Jalo Jalingo.
Prince Gmoney Owojaiye, a Nigerian political-savvy veteran social media journalist, in a statement on Saturday, described the Governor’s message as “a beacon of hope, wisdom and leadership” that underscores the importance of knowledge, legacy, and moral regeneration.
According to Prince Gmoney, the governor’s recognition of Dr. Jalingo’s translation work “rightly elevated the importance of scholarship and the timeless duty of preserving wisdom for generations to come.”
He further lauded Senator Sani’s emphasis on Islam’s strong tradition of learning, noting that it aligns with the administration’s investment in education and vocational training. “It reflects a leadership that understands that true progress is rooted in knowledge, moral values and human development,” the statement read.
Prince Gmoney also praised the governor’s tribute to Sheikh Gumi’s legacy as a moral authority and bridge-builder who championed justice, interfaith dialogue and peaceful coexistence. “In highlighting his devotion to fairness, tolerance and inclusivity, you have reinforced values essential for a diverse state like Kaduna and for Nigeria as a whole,” he noted.
He concluded that Governor Sani’s message at the event assures citizens that peace, unity and progress will continue to flourish under his stewardship.
