The Team MBM Political Movement has joined well-wishers across Nigeria to celebrate His Excellency Dr. Idris Omede on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as “a leader with exceptional attributes and unmatched reputation.”

In a tribute signed by the group’s convener, Mallam Bello Muhammed, Team MBM Political Movement praised Dr. Omede as “a role model, a trailblazer, and an icon per excellence,” whose life of service continues to inspire generations.

“With deepest honor and recognition, we celebrate His Excellency Dr. Idris Omede on the occasion of his birthday,” the statement read. “Today as you mark your remarkable years on Earth, we wish you continuous success in all your life endeavors in the coming years.”

The movement further commended Dr. Omede’s inclusive approach to leadership. “Your relentless effort and commitment to the progress of all regardless of individual identity and party affiliation is well documented and shall continue to be an indelible legacy in generations to come,” it noted.

Team MBM also offered prayers for his health and strength, saying: “You shall remain mentally and physically sound for the Nigerian people who always rush to tap from your wealth of experience and mentorship.”

Born in Odu, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, Dr. Omede has had a distinguished career in medicine and public service. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Adamawa Hospital Limited in Yola and has served as National President of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) as well as the Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN), where he was elected the 15th President in 2016.

In addition, Dr. Omede once served as Commissioner for Health in Kogi State during the administration of Governor Idris Ichala Wada. He was also unveiled as the deputy governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the November 11, 2023, Kogi State off-cycle election, running alongside Hon. Elder Leke Abejide.

Celebrating his enduring relevance, the group highlighted his vision of a united Nigeria. “Dr. Omede has been an advocate for national unity and development; he sees Nigeria’s diversity as strength to leverage on,” Team MBM stated.

The Movement concluded by reaffirming its admiration for Dr. Omede’s impact: “Indeed you are a leader whose legacy will continue to inspire generations yet unborn.”
