President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has returned to the country after a series of high-profile diplomatic engagements across the United Kingdom, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the United States, sparking renewed optimism about Nigeria’s place in global affairs.
Among the first to hail the President’s safe return was Ambassador Muhammed Musa Tsoken, National Coordinator of the Asiwaju Again Renewed Hope Support Initiative 2027 and National President of the APC Initiative for Good Governance (APC-IGG).
In a statement issued in Abuja, Tsoken described Tinubu’s re-entry into the country as “an inspiration to millions of Nigerians” and a fresh reminder of his commitment to national transformation.
“Once again, welcome home, Mr. President,” Tsoken declared. “Your vision, courage, and dedication remain an inspiration to us all. May God bless Nigeria and continue to guide your leadership.”
Ambassador Tsoken praised Tinubu’s persistent pursuit of global partnerships since assuming office in May 2023, stressing that the President’s diplomatic agenda is anchored on trade, innovation, energy diversification, and security—sectors he believes will reposition Nigeria’s economy and uplift its citizens.
He traced Tinubu’s international journey from his debut outing at the New Global Financial Pact Summit in Paris in June 2023 to his landmark address at the 78th United Nations General Assembly in New York later that year.
The President’s subsequent appearances at the Saudi-Africa Summit in Riyadh and the G20 Compact with Africa in Berlin further reinforced Nigeria’s leadership role in shaping Africa-global cooperation.
Particular emphasis was placed on Nigeria’s deepening ties with France. Tsoken noted Tinubu’s multiple visits to Paris, including the November 2024 signing of critical agreements on infrastructure and food security with President Emmanuel Macron, as well as the expansion of UBA and Zenith Bank into France. His February 2025 stopover en route to the African Union Summit and the recent September 2025 working visit, capped by a private luncheon with Macron at the Elysee Palace, were cited as proof of a growing strategic relationship.
“These engagements are not ceremonial outings,” Tsoken said. “They are deliberate strategies to attract investment, create opportunities, and ensure Nigeria takes its rightful place in the global order. In due time, Nigerians will feel the benefits in their daily lives.”
Echoing this sentiment, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, assured citizens that the outcomes of the President’s foreign missions will be translated into tangible results under the Renewed Hope Agenda. He pledged that the government would deliver on promises of economic growth, infrastructure development, and social upliftment.
Senator Akume also commended Ambassador Tsoken for his grassroots mobilization and unwavering advocacy, saying such patriotism strengthens democracy and builds synergy between citizens and government.
“With unity of purpose and continued support for the President, the dividends of democracy will reach every Nigerian more inclusively and sustainably,” Akume affirmed.
Concluding his remarks, Ambassador Tsoken urged Nigerians to rise above political and ethnic divides and rally behind Tinubu, whom he described as “a visionary leader laying a lasting foundation for national prosperity.”
As Nigerians celebrate the President’s safe return, the prevailing mood is one of heightened expectation that his diplomatic strides will soon yield meaningful opportunities, renewed confidence, and accelerated progress for the nation.
