The immediate past Executive Chairman of Bariga Local Council and National President Emeritus of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Hon. Alabi Kolade David, has sent a heartfelt congratulatory message to Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu on her 65th birthday.

Alabi Kolade David acknowledged Senator Tinubu’s commendable contributions to nation-building and her distinguished role as First Lady of Nigeria, impacting millions of households.

“As First Lady, Senator Tinubu has made impactful strides in education, healthcare, and economic development through The Renewed Hope Initiative.

“This initiative focuses on scholarships, economic empowerment, and support for women in agriculture, bringing relief to households and alleviating poverty across the country.”

Hon. Alabi Kolade David noted positive responses across the 774 local government areas and extends gratitude to the First Lady for her laudable programmes promoting development and empowerment among vulnerable groups and Nigerian women.

He observed that Senator Tinubu has been a staunch advocate for gender inclusivity, empowering women and valuing their voices in national development, contributing to her impactful leadership.

“Her efforts have focused on enhancing welfare of vulnerable groups, establishing her as a compassionate leader. During her Senate tenure, Senator Tinubu served three terms representing Lagos Central, sponsoring landmark legislation like the Older Persons (Rights and Privileges) Bill.”

The ALGON National President Emeritus prayed that God continues to bless, guide, protect, and prosper her as she continues to serve humanity with dedication and compassion.
