As Nigeria marks her 65th Independence anniversary, the Deputy National President of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Hon. Engr. Ikenna Adikibe, has extended warm congratulations to Nigerians, with a special message of hope, unity, and patriotism.

Speaking on behalf of the 27 local government areas of Imo State, Adikibe described the anniversary as a significant milestone that calls for deep reflection on the nation’s journey, while acknowledging the triumphs and challenges that have defined Nigeria’s existence.

“We heartily convey our best wishes to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Hope Uzodinma, and all Imolites for a remarkable Independence Day celebration,” he stated, urging citizens to embrace the spirit of unity and resilience that has kept the country together.

Adikibe expressed optimism that the occasion would inspire renewed hope and collective effort towards building a prosperous Imo State and Nigeria at large. He saluted the resilience and determination of Nigerians, particularly Imolites across the local governments, who continue to strive for a better future despite daunting odds.

Reaffirming ALGON’s commitment to patriotism, hard work, and service to humanity, the Oru West Local Government Chairman prayed that the leadership of President Tinubu and Governor Uzodinma would continue to drive progress and development across the country and the state.

“To our fellow Nigerians, particularly Imolites, we urge you to continue to support the tangible and intentional efforts of building a brighter future for ourselves and generations to come,” Adikibe declared, before wishing the nation a joyful celebration.

“Happy 65th Independence Day, Nigeria!” he concluded.

The goodwill message was signed by Hon. (Engr.) Ikenna Adikibe, who also doubles as the ALGON Chairman, Imo State Chapter, and Executive Chairman of Oru West Local Government Area.
