The International Press Centre (IPC), Lagos-Nigeria, has congratulated Ms. Anike-Ade Funke Treasure, a distinguished member of its Board, on her international recognition with an Award Plaque for the “Voice of Dignity” conferred by the Heroes of Tomorrows Africa Foundation (HOTAF) in the United States of America.

In a statement issued on October 11, 2025, IPC described the award as a well-deserved testament to Ms. Funke Treasure’s unwavering dedication to amplifying voices, promoting human dignity, and advancing ethical journalism and impactful storytelling within and beyond Nigeria’s media space.

As a seasoned broadcaster, media development expert, and advocate for gender inclusion, Ms. Funke Treasure has consistently distinguished herself through professionalism, visionary leadership, and a deep commitment to social transformation. Her recognition, the statement noted, serves as an inspiration not only to the staff and management of IPC but also to a new generation of journalists and media practitioners committed to making meaningful impact through responsible journalism.

“The IPC Board and Management are proud to be associated with Ms. Funke Treasure’s accomplishments and celebrate this international honour with immense joy and admiration,” said Mr. Lanre Arogundade, Executive Director and Board Secretary of the IPC.

The organisation further encouraged Ms. Funke Treasure to continue blazing the trail, mentoring younger professionals, and championing the values of dignity, justice, and excellence that have earned her such prestigious global recognition.
