The Progressive Next Generation Initiative (PNGI) has joined other notable figures across Nigeria in celebrating the defection of Chief Senator Benson Agadaga, who represents the Bayelsa East Senatorial District, to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a statement released on Thursday, October 30, 2025, and signed by the Director of Media, Press and Publicity, Hon. Mathias Zadok, on behalf of the Convener, Hon. Jeffery Omoh Ozemegwa, the organization described Senator Agadaga as a patriot, visionary leader, and dependable partner in the collective task of building the Progressive Next Generation Initiative.

The statement lauded Senator Agadaga’s outstanding record of service to humanity, highlighting his notable efforts in youth development, women empowerment, good governance, and national advancement. PNGI noted that the senator’s long-standing commitment to community service and capacity building demonstrates his unwavering dedication to improving lives across Bayelsa State and beyond.

According to the release, Senator Agadaga’s numerous empowerment projects, skill acquisition programs, medical outreaches, and developmental initiatives under his personal foundation have continued to uplift communities and create opportunities for the youth and women of Bayelsa.

The organization emphasized that such achievements align perfectly with the APC’s core principles of inclusive leadership and grassroots empowerment.

Hon. Jeffery Omoh Ozemegwa, Convener of PNGI, expressed optimism that Senator Agadaga’s decision to join the APC would not only strengthen the party’s influence in Bayelsa State but also energize its mission of progressive governance and inclusive participation.

“The Next Generation welcomes you to the All Progressives Congress. We celebrate this long-awaited movement as a great step toward a brighter future for the people of Bayelsa,” Ozemegwa declared.

He further reiterated PNGI’s commitment as a data-driven, research-based, and advocacy-oriented platform within the APC, dedicated to promoting transparency, accountability, and informed political participation in alignment with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Concluding the statement, PNGI extended its warmest felicitations to Senator Agadaga, affirming that his entry into the APC marks a significant addition to the ranks of visionary leaders driving Nigeria’s progressive future.

“On behalf of the Convener, Chairman, Leadership, and Members nationwide, PNGI warmly welcomes Senator Benson Agadaga to the biggest and most progressive party in Africa, the All Progressives Congress (APC),” the statement affirmed.
