The Progressive Next Generation Initiative (PNGI), a national coalition of young professionals, grassroots mobilizers, and policy advocates, has officially thrown its weight behind the re-election campaign of the Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu.
The initiative announced its decision via an official invitation signed by its Convener, Hon. Jeffery Omoh Ozemegwa, calling for a formal declaration ceremony to solidify its position.
The group cited a “comprehensive performance assessment” of the AMAC under Hon. Maikalangu’s current administration, concluding that it is “convinced of his capacity to deliver greater progress with a renewed mandate.”
PNGI is renowned for its commitment to advocating for credible leadership and data-driven governance. The organization emphasized the strategic relevance of AMAC within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), underscoring the importance of continuity in leadership to sustain developmental momentum.
The formal declaration ceremony is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 1:00 PM in Abuja.
All PNGI members have been strongly urged to ensure their presence and participation to collectively advance the cause of credible leadership and democratic development.
