The afternoon preceding night at the Oasis Grand Resort in Nyanya turned into a Christmas wonderland, the Knights of Saint Mulumba (KSM) rolled out their biggest bash ever in history. It was 13 December 2025, and the air was already humming with spice, laughter, and the faint buzz of well mega mix and star band queued in quick succession, presents interesting warming up. From the moment guests stepped onto the red carpet, lanterns swayed between towering trees, Balloons Santa Claus crystal chandeliers threw glitter across ivory‑draped tables, and the pool reflected a sky full of twinkling lights.
Worthy Grand Knight Sir HycainthEkpokoba rise to give his good will message with voice booming: “We’ve broken the jinx after years of loss and challenging trajectories—this Christmas will be unforgettable.” His words set the tone for a night built on faith, family, and fellowship.
Committee Chairman Bede Ejekwu beamed, proud of the 20‑man team that perfected every detail—He was appreciative and declared assorted to rendezvous, from the glittering backdrop to the generous gifts waiting for widows. The Ladies of Saint Mulumba handed out cheques to Widows as Christmas buffers, a quiet reminder that the fraternity’s heart beats for service. Guests in fine attire filled the 200‑seat out, smiles catching lantern glow. Lady Stella Makpu whispered, “An exhilarating excursion into pure enjoyment,” while Barr Chris Makpu and Sir Donald Obirh added, “Seeing our Knights honoured beneath these trees is priceless.”
Sir Hycainth the WGK then called forward brothers embodying the 3T pillars—Time, Treasure, Talent. Bro Obiora Orji, Bro Iwundu Ugochukwu, and Party Chairman Bro Bede Ejekwu stepped up for tokens of appreciation. including the Metropolitan Council award to some brothers Chadi Adighiogu, Moses Onyilokwu, and Ogah Joseph whom were also recognised, their contributions highlighted in a slideshow of past KSM Nyanya projects.
The real show‑stopper was media celebrity Obiora, whose razor‑sharp commentary kept energy soaring despite all odds. He anchored the floor, introduced performances, and made sure the dance party never missed a beat. Beyond the open space atmosphere, the poolside venue became a hybrid for chic lounge with a lavish buffet—jollof rice, fried rice, grilled fish, pepper‑soaked chicken, Abacha, Kpomo, pepper soup, assorted peanuts, garden eggs, 100 L palm wine, fine wines, chilled champagne, and beers flowing freely. Children giggled in a mini‑pool splash zone, faces painted, candy‑floss in hand, while a mini‑dance competition saw brothers “splash money responsibly.”
As the night deepened, conventional songs gave way to a DJ who turned the floor into a pulsating arena of joy. Slideshow images reinforced the 3Ts legacy. Brother Ngozi Okereafor and zonal leaders of ABC—Bro Ogah, Dio, and Bro Jauro—joined, their presence a testament to fraternal unity.
When the clock struck ten, Sir Hycainth closed: “We’ve broken the jinx, sparked the Yuletide spirit, and proved we are unstoppable. Expect an even grander 2026, starting with Valentine’s and Easter bashes.
Here’s to a brighter, more blessed year ahead.” Lanterns dimmed, music softened, and guests lingered, reluctant to leave the warmth of fellowship. The night struggled to continue but gradually ended with a benediction from Worthy Chaplain Rev. Fr. Victor Adegoke, represented by Chancellor Bro. Fidelis Aer, sealing a memorable Christmas Bash that will be talked about for seasons to come.
