The Simba Group of companies Factory and Silver Energy Solution Office, penultimate week, played host to the Lead Consultant to the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Distinguished Senator Alphonsus Igbeke, who led a high‑level delegation on a factory inspection tour.
The team, which included ALGON Director General, Barr. Mrs. Evan Enekwe, and Mallam Nuhu Ozigi, undertook extensive product inspections to assess quality assurance, adaptability, and tropicalization of solutions tailored to rural peculiarities across the country.
Senator Igbeke emphasized the urgency of reducing spiraling import dependence and maximizing the provisions of the Federal Government’s Executive Order 5, which prioritizes local content and the Nigerianization of products.
He noted that this approach would save import costs, engage local skills, create jobs, and reduce expenses, aligning with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government.
According to him, the policy direction toward cutting‑edge technology and local manufacturing deepens the footprint of service delivery, enhances technology transfer, and strengthens job creation.
He explained that the inspected equipment is designed to deliver essential services to rural communities, bridging gaps in transportation and health emergencies through innovations such as tricycle ambulances, motorcycles for community vigilance, solar energy solutions, and agricultural equipment for complementary farming activities.
Senator Igbeke expressed optimism that the initiative, when patronized and fully supported, would strengthen the economic development value chain across Federal, State, and Local Governments. He urged ALGON state chapters to leverage the idea to ensure tangible products and services are delivered directly to their constituents.
It will be recalled that Simba Group companies have consistently offered quality assurance at competitive prices, backed by robust after‑sales support services.
This reputation for durability and resilience attracted the interest of ALGON’s National Executive Council, which reviewed the standards and cost‑reduction potential of the products and conveyed approval for a strategic partnership to supply and deploy Simba solutions to local governments nationwide.
The inspection marks another milestone in service delivery and local content development for LGAs, holding manufacturers accountable for both quality maintenance and cost efficiency.
ALGON National President, Engr. Bello Lawal, has strongly advocated for internalizing such gains and translating the dividends of leadership to constituents, who remain the direct beneficiaries.
The Director General, Barr. Mrs. Evan Enekwe, Director of Finance and Account ALGON Mallam Nuhu Ozigi FCA and Lead Consultant, Senator Igbeke, jointly affirmed that the initiative was timely and essential for advancing grassroots development.
