The ancient town of Ikorodu is set for a major spiritual and national convergence as Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and a host of Southwest governors, traditional rulers and top Christian leaders converge for the 2025 Annual Convention and Harvest of Divine Grace of the Apata Ayeraye C&S International (Unification) Church, Eritosin.
The grand harvest and thanksgiving service, scheduled for Sunday, December 28, 2025, will be hosted at the church auditorium under the leadership of Revd (Dr) Captain Mother Kehinde Osoba (IJP), Founder and General Overseer of the church and Chancellor, College of Chaplaincy and Social Sciences, Nigeria.
Also expected at the high-profile spiritual gathering are Governors Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, Ademola Adeleke of Osun State and Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, former Ogun State Governor and Aremo of Egbaland, Chief Olusegun Osoba, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, and the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.
Leading the spiritual hierarchy to the convention is Primate Emmanuel Abiodun Alogbo, Supreme Head of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church, alongside renowned cleric Prophetess Esther Ajayi. Traditional authority will be further represented by the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, HRM Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, while Hon. Olawande George, son of the late music icon King Sunny Ade and Chairman of Royal Majesty Place, is also listed among dignitaries.
The event, which will also feature a special appearance by Nigeria’s comedy icon, Ali Baba, is themed “Arise, Shine; for thy light has come” (Isaiah 60:1). Church leaders describe the theme as timely and deeply instructive, particularly at a period when Nigeria yearns for moral renewal, peace and national restoration.
In a widely circulated congratulatory message to the church, former presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Prince Adewole Adebayo, praised the spiritual vision and discipline of Apata Ayeraye C&S International (Unification) Church, describing it as “a beacon of faith, unity and moral guidance.”
According to Prince Adebayo, the 2025 harvest theme “speaks not only to spiritual awakening but also to the collective responsibility of faith communities in illuminating the path of righteousness, justice, and national renewal for Nigeria.”
The 2023 presidential candidate commended Revd (Dr) Captain Mother Kehinde Osoba and the church leadership for their commitment to spiritual growth, social harmony and peace, stressing that the church continues to serve as a moral compass in challenging times.
Although he noted that pressing obligations might limit his physical presence, the SDP chieftain affirmed his solidarity with the church “in spirit and in purpose,” offering prayers for a spiritually uplifting and impactful celebration and for Nigeria’s peace and stability.
As the convention approaches, Ikorodu is already witnessing heightened activities, with worshippers and guests trooping into the area ahead of the grand finale.
Special prayers are expected to be offered for the security, unity and progress of Nigeria, making the 2025 Harvest of Divine Grace not just a thanksgiving service, but a national prayer convocation drawing together faith, leadership and tradition under one roof.
