According to a statement signed by the Summit Coordinator, Hassie Oyama, the honourees were selected from diverse professional, business, political and social spheres in recognition of their outstanding achievements, leadership and contributions to society.

Among the distinguished women scheduled to receive honours at the summit are Nancy Iloh; Chioma Rosemary Onyekaba; Funmi Ajila-Ladipo; Dr. Aisha Sulaiman Achimugu; Halima Shuibu Kurfi; Hajia Hasfat Balewa; Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan; Ima Kurfi; Hilda Ashton Titiloye; and Mrs. Chinenye Laura Kester Agwu.

The organisers said the decision to recognise the women underscores the summit’s commitment to celebrating outstanding female leaders whose accomplishments, influence and dedication continue to inspire others and contribute to Nigeria’s development.

The specific categories of honours and citations for the respective recipients are expected to be unveiled at the event, making the recognition segment one of the major highlights of the summit.

The Women in Business and Politics Summit 2026 is expected to bring together prominent women, business executives, political leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals and other distinguished guests for conversations centred on leadership, enterprise, public service, empowerment and the expanding role of women in national development.

The summit will also provide an avenue for participants to exchange ideas, build strategic relationships and explore opportunities for greater female participation and leadership across Nigeria’s economic and political landscape.

Beyond the discussions and networking opportunities, the honours ceremony is expected to offer a platform to celebrate women whose personal journeys, professional accomplishments and public contributions have made a meaningful impact on society.

With preparations for the event already underway, the organisers expressed confidence that the Women in Business and Politics Summit 2026 will provide an engaging platform for dialogue, recognition, inspiration and celebration.
