One remarkable fact that continues to distinguish Dr. Chima Anyaso, Ofuji, is that he has never held any political office. Yet, all his interventions in Bende Federal Constituency have been funded entirely from his personal pocket.
For over a decade, without access to government treasury, he has consistently invested in people and communities. His philanthropy cuts across education through scholarships for indigent students, youth empowerment and skills acquisition, support for churches and community groups, assistance to families in distress, and provision of basic community infrastructure.
For many observers, this self-funded service defines sincerity of his commitment and proves that his passion for Bende is not driven by quest for public funds.
It is therefore not surprising that support for his ambition to represent Bende Federal Constituency in House of Representatives in 2027 continues to grow across 13 wards of constituency.
From Bende Ward to Ozuitem, from Item A, B and C to Alayi, from Igbere A and B to Ugwueke/Ezeukwu and Umuhu-Ezechi, story is same. Ward-to-ward engagements, voluntary endorsements, unsolicited expressions of solidarity are all encouraging signs of confidence and high expectations Ndi Bende have in his aspiration.
More importantly, engagements point to growing conversation among people about kind of leadership and representation they desire.
“The people are no longer interested in empty promises; they want a leader with proven capacity, compassion and connection to the grassroots,” a supporter noted.
Dr. Anyaso has made his mission very clear. He is committed to offering quality, responsive and people-driven representation, amplifying voices of his constituents on national stage, attracting meaningful and sustainable development, and ensuring that interests of Ndi Bende receive attention they truly deserve in National Assembly.
For his supporters, this journey is about much more than election. It is about service, accountability, purposeful development and building stronger, more prosperous future for next generation.
“Ndi Bende are yearning for a representative who will listen, deliver and remain connected to the people long after the election is over. Many believe they have found those qualities in OFUJI,” the group stated.
This people-centred approach to leadership continues to define Dr. Anyaso’s public life. His consistent identification with people and active participation in community activities have become his trademark.
That belief in staying connected was again on display on Sunday, when he joined members of Item Okpi community in Aba. His presence further demonstrated his commitment to maintaining strong relationships with Bende sons and daughters across all communities, both at home and in diaspora.
For many supporters, this uncommon connection is major reason for confidence they repose in his ambition to represent them in House of Representatives come 2027.
