However, the website, which was hacked in the morning on Saturday, hours after the accreditation of voters started, has been restored.
“Sorry xD Your Site has been STAMPED by Team Nigerian Cyber Army. FEEL SOME SHAME ADMIN!!,” a message on the INEC website read.
After the website was hacked, the INEC dropped the content added to the website by the hacker and wrote: “We will be back soon! Sorry for the inconvenience but we are performing some maintenance at the moment. We will be back online shortly! Site should be back up soon”.
