The Director General of National Sports
Commission, Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye, has
been relieved of his duties with immediate
effect.
Elegbeleye’s sack was on the order of
President Goodluck Jonathan, The
EagleOnline reliably gathered.
Meanwhile, a Director in the NSC, Alhassan
Yakmut, has also been directed by the
Sports Minister, Dr. Tammy Danagogo, to
assume office on Monday (today) as the
Acting Director General of the Commission.
Yakmut will assume his new duty at 10am
on Monday (today) at the NSC office in
Abuja.
This will be after a brief handover by the
sacked former director general.
