COVID-19: Enugu Unveils Coal City Rice as Ugwuanyi Urges Prayers at Easter

The government of Rt Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has unveiled its Coal City Rice, a cereal food product initiated by the state government.
The Street Reporters Newspaper gathered that the product will be deployed as one of the palliatives to cushion the effect of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic on citizens of the state.
The unveiling of the Coal City Rice was performed by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Simon Uchenna Ortuanya.
It was unveiled in the presence of the State Commissioner for Agriculture, Hon. Mathew Idu and Special Adviser to the Governor on Agriculture, Engr. Michael Ogbuekwe.
Meanwhile, in his Easter message, Governor Ugwuanyi has called for intense prayers, abiding faith in God to conquer Coronavirus disease in the country.
He urged all Nigerians to reflect soberly and intensify prayers for God’s intervention to overcome the rampaging pandemic.
The Street Reporters Newspaper reports that in his message, Gov. Ugwuanyi, who felicitated with Christians, pointed out that Easter is the hallmark of Christianity.
The governor added that the feast which brought salvation to mankind, offers Christian faithful and indeed all Nigerians an ample opportunity to come closer to God, promote peace, love and unity as well as other virtues that would enhance the progress of the country.
While wishing the good people of Enugu State and indeed all Nigerians a happy Easter celebration, Gov. Ugwuanyi reiterated his resolve to continue to serve with the fear of God and to work tirelessly towards the progress of the state and the wellbeing of the people.
