The headquarters of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has been gutted by fire a week after the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation was touched.

The actual cause of the fire is unknown, however, sources say the incident occurred on Wednesday morning at the seven-storey building located in Maitama area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The Registrar-General of the CAC, Alhaji Garba Abubakar, who confirmed the incident to newsmen said that there was no loss of document or lives during the fire outbreak.

Abubakar said that as soon as the fire outbreak was noticed, men of the Federal Fire Service were quickly mobilised to put it out.

The Street Reporters Newspaper gathered that the fire was a minor incident with no loss of document or lives at the time of this report.
