Gombe First Lady Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya Tasks Stakeholders on Cancer

Gombe State First Lady, Hajia Asma’u  Inuwa Yahaya has urged critical stakeholders to take bold steps to create a cancer free world.

Gombe First Lady, made this call on Sunday via a statement issued by her Media Aide, Bintu Aliyu Sunmonu.

Hajia Asma’u  Inuwa Yahaya said pulling resources together and act for a healthier and brighter future lies in a cancer free world.

“As a Caregiver, I AM in the crusade against cancer; I WILL continue to create awareness and save lives by providing access to preventive measures and treatment.” She explained

Gombe governor’s wife who emphasized on health consciousness and frequent cancer test by all and sundry due to it’s ravaging effect said, this is part of preventive measures as cancer knows no bounds.

The first lady added that the present administration under the leadership of her husband Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya is doing its best not only in cancer eradication but in upgrading the entire health sector in the State for an improved health care delivery service.

According to Hajia Asma’u, Now is the time for a more concerted effort and renewed vigor to fight against the scourge….. a CLARION CALL for a BOLD and BRAVE ACTION.

Recall that the office of Gombe First Lady in collaboration with AMEN foundation carried out a free breast and cervical cancer test in all the three senatorial districts of the State recently.
