Senator Ekwunife Facilitates Project In Ukwulu Community, Speaks on Prioritisation of Social Amenities as Governor
The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, has assured that her government will prioritize provision of social amenities upon emerging victorious in November 6, 2021 governorship polls, saying that the era of inadequate delivery of public services and social amenities will soon become history.
Ekwunife, who made this statement in Ukwulu on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, during her tour of inspection to the site of the borehole she facilitated, also thanked the community for entrusting their mandate on her to represent them in the senate.
“Living conditions in hinterlands must be improved upon by provision of equal access to public services and social amenities particularly health care, schools, clean drinking water Et al.”
“By the grace of God, if given the mandate we will take positive measures to support social development and ensure access to social amenities”, noted Ekwunife who was represented by a delegation led by Mrs Ego Atuegbu.
Mrs. Atuegbu commended the Senator for the cogent bills and motions to her credit and numerous ongoing projects in the zone.
She thanked her for providing basic social amenities to the constituents, and prayed God to grant the Senator success in her bid to become the next governor of the state.
In his remarks, Mr. Lazarus Onuzulike from Ukwulu Ward I described Ekwunife as a Senator whose word is bond.
He highlighted the promises the woman better known as Iyom made and attested that all were fulfilled.
Speaking further, Mr. Onuzulike said that looking at the projects to the credit of Ekwunife that the zone were very happy and proud of her representation.
He prayed that not only would Ekwunife win the governorship election, also that God will grant her the grace to take Anambra to greater heights.
Also in the delegation that represented the Senator was Hon Maureen Okekenta who reiterated that the Chairman Senate Committee on Science and Technology has through her excellent representation shown that she has the capacity and capability to serve Ndi Anambra.
She described her as “Oji Uno Eme Ogo, Madam one day, one project” and prayed God to continue to strengthen her in her quest for good governance.
Mrs. Ukamaka Kamuche and other indigenes of the community who spoke, expressed gratitude to the Senator for addressing their challenges.
They noted that the water project will avail them access to pipe-borne water which had been difficult to get in the area.
Present were Onyegbunam Helen (PDP Chairman Ukwulu Ward I), Adaeze Ifeka (PDP Woman leader Ukwulu ward I), Martin Nweke (Youth leader Ukwulu ward II) and Beatrice Aniekwe (Dunukofia woman leader). Others were Ifeanyi Uzuegbunam (Coordinator Ukwulu ward II), Nkechi Nnenu (Ukwulu ward I Woman leader) and Echezona Lucy (Ukwulu ward II woman leader).
