Gboko Council Chairman Commissions Bridge, Tasks Youths on Productivity

Executive Chairman, Gboko Local Government Council, Hon. James Kachina has commissioned Nenge bridge in Mbashimbe, Mbakpegh in Gboko Local Government Area.

The bridge is constructed by Supervisor for health, Hon. Peter Samu.

Speaking at the ceremony, Kachina commended Hon. Samu for bringing development to his community and urged youths of the community to take to productive ventures that would add value to the community.

He added that his administration has a special programme for youths tagged ” Useful Youth Concept ” and was willing to support youths to reach their full potentials.

Also speaking, commissioner for Information, Culture and Orientation, Mrs Mngunan Addingi said, she would lend her support in the construction if access road linking the community to Gboko township to help in the evacuation of farm produce to the town for sake among other forms of assistance.

In his remarks, the Executive Secretary, Primary Healthcare Board, Bem Agenda said his board would also give priority attention to renovation of the Local Government clinic in the community to bring healthcare closer to the people.

Earlier, Hon. Samu had informed that Mbashimbe community was cut off by the deplorable condition of the road, a situation he said was further  compounded by the deplorable condition of the bridge hence the need to construct it.

He mentioned other needs of the community to include renovation of Local Government clinic in the area and called for government intervention.
