In her response, the wife of the late Comrade, who is the renowned Human Rights’ Activist, Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin, expressed her profound gratitude and appreciation to all for the show of support and solidarity.
On the second note, on behalf of the Group, Comrades Solomon Sobade, Sina Loremikan and Awa Bamiji conferred with Dr Joe to convey the willingness of this Group to in collaboration with the family and other Stakeholders organise a befitting burial for our fallen Comrade.
She welcomed the beautiful idea and informed that due to Yinka’s association with different tendencies and Groups, many of whom are willing to organise different programmes to honour him, it’s therefore been agreed that all programmes be collapsed into a three-day activities both in Lagos and Osun States, Moro town, his hometown and final resting place.
To this end, this group has been asked to come up an item of activity to be included in the main Programme.
It’s therefore the responsibility of the Group to deliberate on this in order to take a common position and be part of larger show of celebration.
