Birthday: Grand Council of Yoruba Youths Hails Sanwo-Olu @56, Gbajabiamila @59, Remembers Ajimobi
The Grand Council of Yoruba Youths has said the organisation is “rolling out the drums and blowing the Trumpets to felicitate with a consummate Politician, a Grassroot mobiliser, the People’s Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, alias work in progress, of Lagos State, who has never wavered in his responsibility to bring the dividends of Democracy in all facets of Governance to the door steps of all the Residents of Lagos State, on the auspicious occasion of his 56th Birthday Anniversary, as well as the Defender of the masses, Okanlomo of Lagos State, Rt. (Hon) Femi Gbajabiamila, who clocked 59.”
In a statement signed by its President General, Comrade AWA Bamiji, the Yoruba youths said “We are in deed proud of both of you with your exemplary heights and laudable record of achievements over the past 2 years in Office.
“Worthy of note, is the beautiful way the latter, commemorated his 59th Birthday Anniversary with historic enrollment of Children of People with disabilities. Kudos to you Sir, Mr Speaker!
“Good Governance is about lifting up the Children of the Poor.
“To both of you, we say many happy returns”, the group said.
Speaking on the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi as an “Achiever, Koseleri Governor of Oyo State”, organisation said “the Prevailing security challenges in Oyo State Today, apart from other notable areas of State administration, did stand the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi out as an Achiever, Koseleri Governor of Oyo State, as he turned 1 year after his death.
“May his soul continue to rest in peace.”
The group added: “We, the Grand Council of Yoruba Youths, Agbarijo Egbe Odo Yoruba, had made it our tradition to be celebrating our notable Heroes and Heroines in Nigeria during their lifetime and even in their death and now, it’s now the turn of these 3 worthy Children of Oduduwa.
“From God we come, to him we shall return. Adieu Abiola Ajimobi!”, Comrade AWA Bamiji stated.
