The Delta South Leaders and Stakeholders Forum has congratulated Hon. Michael Diden on his emergence as Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate for the 2023 general elections in the district.
Diden polled 176 votes to defeat his major contender and former member representing Warri Federal Constituency, Hon. Daniel Reyenieju 49 votes.
Chief Mike Loyibo, the Forum’s Chairman, in a statement thanked party delegates and stakeholders for their choice of Diden whom he described as a complete grassroot politician and people-friendly leader.
He noted that Diden popularly known as Ejele had endeared himself with the people with a cult following across the state.
The Forum also lauded Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the state Chairman of the party Chief Kingsley Esiso for ensuring a free, fair and credible primaries across the state.

“Ejele’s massive victory on Monday is a confirmation of his general acceptability by the people of the district and we thank delegates and party leaders for their choice of Diden across the Senatorial district.
“We urge fellow contestants to in the race to accept defeat in good faith and work together with our senatorial candidate to deliver the party in the 2023 general elections.” Loyibo added.
