The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has bowed to the order of the Court writing to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and asking the Commission to recognise Bashir Sheriff Machina as the party’s Yobe North senatorial district candidate.

The move has ended the party’s impunity in line with the ruling of the Federal High Court, Damaturu.

The Court presided by Justice Fadima Aminu had directed INEC to accept and publish Machina’s name as the validly elected APC candidate for the zone, thus upholding the May 28 poll of the party that produced him.
