Peace and Security: Katsina State Government Reiterates Commitment To Collaboration With Security Agencies
Katsina State Government has reiterated its commitment to the continued collaboration with security agencies to ensure enhanced peace and security in the state.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Ibrahim Musa Kallah.
According to the statement, the state Deputy Governor, Qs. Mannir Yakubu, stated this when he received the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Assistant Commandant General in charge of Zone B ACG Mohammed Haruna, on a courtesy visit in his office.
Qs. Yakubu said the Nigeria civil defense has earned its self-respect in the eyes of the public.
He revealed that recently the corps in Katsina state has trained special vigilante to assist in checking communities for improved security across the state.
He assured the commitment of the state Government to bring to an end the lingering banditry and kidnapping among other security challenges.
Earlier the zonal NSCDC Commandant, ACG Mohammed Haruna, said he was in Katsina state for a familiarisation tour on corps formations in the state.
ACG Mohammed Haruna pledged to do everything possible to improve security in the state.
He appreciated the state Government for its support to security outfits in the state and promised continued collaboration.
He then applauded the state Government for bringing development within its seven and a half years tenure.
