Nigeria’s Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, has extended his warm felicitations to the newly elected Chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Mogaji Ibraheem Olaniyan, and his team on their well-deserved win at the elections held at the Goodluck Jonathan Peacekeeping Hall, Force Headquarters, Abuja, on November 29, 2022.

The IGP then tasked the newly elected officials of the PCRC on entrenching the community policing doctrine in Nigeria, particularly in urban areas where communal living is almost nonexistent.

Similarly, the IGP felicitated with Ms. Ify Onyegbule on her laudable appointment as the substantive Director-General of Imo Broadcasting Corporation (IBC), describing her appointment as a clear reinforcement of her broadcasting excellence and prowess.

The Inspector-General of Police, while reiterating that her appointment is a proof of her strength and dedication to duty, assured of the commitment of the Force to improved partnership with the management of Imo Broadcasting Corporation, under her watch, for a balanced reportage to ensure a safe, secured and peaceful Imo State in particular, and the nation in general.

In a statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, Force Headquarters
Abuja, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Inspector-General of Police wished “the duo and their teams all the best even as they buckle up for the task ahead of them.”

He similarly urged them “to put their best foot forward towards ensuring they achieve their respective organizational goals.”
