The CEED Foundation, publishers of SunCityTV Africa has conferred Africa Leadership and Philanthropy Award on His Excellency Engr Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party as it’s Man of the Year, 2022 and many other prominent Nigerians.
In his opening address, the lead Director of CEED Foundation, Hon. Chibuisi Mba said that SunCity TV Africa is one of the leading online television channel and news magazine with the objective of responding to and ensuring paradigm shifts in the evolution of quality leadership and social transformation in Africa, published by CEED Foundation, a non-governmental and non-profit organisation fully registered and accredited in Nigeria, that seeks to identify positive impacts towards community development, social transformation, education development, Entrepreneurship, exceptional leadership and other sustainable programs.
According to him, AFRILEAP is a recognition of inspiring leaders, philanthropists and Unsung heroes who have quietly, tirelessly, and unselfishly demonstrated outstanding commitment and service to improving and enhancing the quality of lives of others, thereby creating a new and lasting template for sustainable social development in Africa and beyond.
“To be eligible, the recipient must be a leader excelling consistently in a given sphere of influence, in good character standing and must also be at the forefront of humanitarian service and innovation”. he said.
The 2022 recipients include former governor of Kano State, Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Dr. Boniface Okechuwu Aniebonam, Founder and BoT Chairman of NNPP, Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa, Dame Pauline Tallen, minister of women affairs, Alhaji Auwalu Abdullahi Rano, Sen. Rufai Hanga, Abba Kabir-Yusuf, Chief Sen. Dr. Victor Umeh, Col. Austin Akobundu, Asiwaju Mashood Shittu, Hon. Khamisu Mailantarki, Nasiru Izegwire of Techware.
Others are Mrs Zainab Ahmed, honourable minister of Finance, Princess Chichi Ojei, APM, presidential candidate, Chief Endy Ogwo, APP house of assembly candidate in Abia State, Ms Vera Sam, Mrs Grace O. Ayoola, Mrs. Sherly Murphy, Mrs Anne Abok of MeCAHT, Hajia Saudat Abdulahi and NEPAL Oil and Gas Ltd. as oil and gas company of the year, 2022.
Speaking at the event, the Presidential Candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party NNPP Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, indicated plans to prioritize education if elected as president in 2023.
Kwankwaso said the NNPP government will provide free education for every Nigerian child at all levels of education by making sure that the number of out-of-school children is drastically reduced.

The former Governor of Kano state also promised to scrap payment of fees charged by some examination bodies like the joint admission and matriculation board JAMB and National examination council NECO as well as initiative policies that will reshape the sector.
Kwakwanso thoughts on Security and Economy among others were also highlighted at the occasion by his representative, Air Vice Marshal Ifemeje retired. Earlier, the awards chairperson Ms Sa’datu Adamu, said the event was to honour innovative individuals and organizations that are exhibiting exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment towards community empowerment and development.
The highpoint of the ceremony was the conferment of the Man of the Year Award on the NNPP presidential candidate, Musa Kwankwaso for his contributions to the growth and development of the Education Sector in Nigeria.
