I Want To Work For My Candidate But Independent Of Party, Using My Structure And Reach

That’s where greed stern from. It doesn’t matter how much they have, they still bother about you; especially when you have what they don’t have. This is why you must improve on what you have, and have the Lord on your side, not necessarily money. You’ll surely make a difference. Because the Lord is on your side.”

But it is not easy to write good and intellectually filed stories meant to appeal to both the intellect and the Soul, and be consistent where you move people to think or go along with you or your philosophy. That’s my drive.”

I sincerely thank the state All Progressives Congress (APC) for seeking my participation in the committees slated for lunching of the forthcoming Presidential campaigns through a call I received yesterday from the party state secretary, Barrister Bassey Mensa, to which I expressed reservations.
Mensa is a fair-hearted fellow and a realist, as the number two man and head of administration at the party secretariat, who loves promoting peaceful coexistence, is the pride of the party back South.
I endeavour to be seen as an honest man. And I want to remain that way. I don’t want to be contaminated because I want to be heard or belong to a certain class or group of people who do not share my beliefs even where they do not have theirs embedded in their characters for emulation.
My journey in this life is to experience it and to impact it with my sincerity.
I like to justify what I get. And do not get what I can’t justify commensurately. That’s why I always work hard in whatever I chose to be involved in passionately.
I had always said that I am still today in APC because of President Mohammadu Buhari. In other words, I am a Buharist, it doesn’t matter whether I have been rewarded with an appointment or not. I am fulfilled by the part I played. It’s on my record that I supported a man because of genuine heart, selflessness and incorruptibility.
Secondly, I want to prove my instincts right of the ability to align with the Lord’s ordained. This is why I choose and pitch my tent with a candidate whom I am directed by my instincts to support and work to prove that right by bringing the powers of the Lord to bear on the venture.
Politics they say, is local. And my choice of Prince Bassey Otu from time, was out of such intuitiveness and for which I had to embark on the project as I did. Which again, is why I am still interested in the party.
I am neither an appointee of government nor a beneficiary of any largesse but yet I continue to play my role in politics constructively unabated.
I don’t play double standing. People know where I stand on issues through my write-ups. And I believe, modestly speaking, that I have the single largest audience in cross river, as a cross-riverian, nay, across the country, in both my Facebook friends, WhatsApp, and eight online blogs of online newspapers where my articles feature simultaneously each time I post material which attracts a large string of readership of all classes of men including some sitting Governors.
That’s evidence of hard work and commitment to the course of humanity. You expect little from a man but more from the Lord for whom or whose sake, you work.
It’s easy to speak English or good English. Just get thirty million naira today in your bank account, and a political appointment where you’re sure to still more, and the confidence to speak grammar will be born instinctively.
But it is not easy to write good and intellectually filed stories meant to appeal to both the intellect and the Soul, and be consistent where you move people to think or go along with you or your philosophy. That’s my drive.
You do good, you do so for yourself. You engage in evilness, you do so to yourself.
I am not driven by pecuniary gains or considerations in politics but by the content and character of those I support and especially those who know my worth and give my due.
Those who have been chasing money, are still chasing it till tomorrow. It hasn’t been based on how much they have in their bank accounts, but how much they lack because they have a Poverty Spirit. And are deficient in moral rectitude. That’s where greed stern from.
It doesn’t matter how much they have, they still bother about you; especially when you have what they don’t have. This is why you must improve on what you have, and have the Lord on your side, not necessarily money. You’ll surely make a difference. Because the Lord is on your side.
I am rather driven by my duty to lead the way to forestall the Devil’s incursion where I am involved, with its choice of booffunds being birds of a feather in the act of greediness and covetousness.
I won’t collect anybody’s money when in my conscience I know it’s not my choice. That’s not politics. That deceitful. And that’s not my view of how I want to live my life.
If I lack money, I can demand from a friend. Especially from those I have made some contributions in their lives either by associations or in kind. But I won’t betray trust or contradict my resolve simply because I want to have my own money in politics, it doesn’t matter how?
You can get all the mansions and cars from such proceeds, I don’t care. I have a house of my own. And I am pretty sure, I will have one in Abuja in the future. I failed to own a house there when I had the opportunity.
Whatever you get through fraud has a backlash in the future. You may not realize the consequences, because you do not pay attention. Justify what you get. That’s where your happiness and security lies.
During the former governor of the state, Mr. Donald Duke’s election which is similar to Prince Otu’s election, I refused to be on any committee. I worked directly with Duke. And there was a result. We’re going to reenact that or record the same results this time with the Prince, the Lord willing.
Success is hidden in secrecy enveloped in trust and one’s spiritual injection with the commitment to succeed.
Only I can do what I can do. And no one can duplicate me in the areas of my professional competence. I am open to more learning, but not bad things or innuendos.
In the future, I intend to, as many have done, the Lord willing, look for a sponsor to bankroll my election into a political office I am yet to decide on.
You can be out there and be blessed. If you are worth it. Do something. Support something. Support good governance into being by the choice you make today.
