As we receive the much-anticipated Timetable and Schedule of Activities for the Edo 2024 Governorship Elections, scheduled to take place on Saturday, the 21st of September, 2024, it is crucial that we, the citizens of Edo State, raise our voices in unison to demand genuine leadership, active participation, and the unwavering commitment to upholding the true principles of democracy.

Our state deserves leaders of unwavering integrity, competence, and a deep-seated dedication to the welfare of the people.

We must not settle for anything less. The days of self-serving politicians must come to an end. We must demand leaders who prioritize the interests of Edo citizens above personal gain and party politics.

Democracy thrives when the voices of the people resound. Voting is not just a right but a responsibility that every eligible citizen must embrace. It is our duty to register to vote, to educate ourselves about the candidates and their policies, and to make informed choices.

Our active participation ensures that our leaders are held accountable and that our government truly represents our aspirations.

Democracy extends beyond mere electoral processes; it embodies the fundamental principles that underpin our society.

A true democracy necessitates transparency, equity, and the strict adherence to the rule of law. Political parties must uphold fairness in their selection of the most qualified candidates to represent them. We must firmly reject any attempts at imposition.
