Corpreneurship: Unity Bank Invests N100 Million in Youth Entrepreneurship, Empowers 400 Graduates
Unity Bank’s Corpreneurship Challenge has empowered 400 fresh graduates with over N100 million in business grants over the past five years.
The initiative, launched in 2019, aims to drive economic growth by supporting young Nigerian entrepreneurs. In partnership with the NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development, the program features a business pitch presentation where participants can win grants up to N800,000.
The Bank has increased the prize money and expanded the program to 10 states, with 30 winners emerging in the latest edition. The Divisional Head of Digital Banking and Fintech Partnerships, Olufunwa Akinmade, expressed satisfaction with the program’s impact, stating that it has become a leading business incubator in Nigeria.
The Divisional Head of Retail and SME Banking, Adenike Ambimbola, highlighted the program’s holistic approach to youth empowerment, including mentorship, skills development, and financial support.
The Corpreneurship Challenge has made a significant impact on the SME sector in Nigeria, with plans to continue and expand its reach to support more young entrepreneurs and boost job creation.
