Lagos State Government Sets July 20 for Placement Test for Primary Six Pupils
The Lagos State Government has announced that the Placement Test by Continuous Assessment Scores (CAS) for Primary Six pupils in the state will hold on Saturday, July 20, 2024.
This was revealed in a statement signed by the Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu.
According to the statement, the test will be conducted across the six Education Districts of the state and is a collaborative effort between the Lagos State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), and the Lagos State Examinations Board.
The Director emphasized that the test is a crucial step in ensuring that pupils transitioning to Government Public Junior Secondary Schools (JSS1) in the state receive quality education. He noted that every child has the right to quality education, and it is the responsibility of the government to provide them with the opportunity to realize their future ambitions.
Mr. Orunsolu urged authorities of Public and Approved Private Primary Schools in the state to inform parents and guardians of their pupils about the test date, ensuring that all eligible pupils can participate.
He assured stakeholders and parents that the government has put in place measures to ensure a seamless, hitch-free, and successful exercise.
The Director appealed for the cooperation of parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to make the exercise a huge success.
He emphasized that the government is committed to providing quality education to all pupils in the state and is working tirelessly to ensure that no child is left behind.
