Governor Ododo’s Exemplary Leadership A Beacon of Hope for Civil Servants, Says SSA to AASU President, Onimisi
In a remarkable display of commitment to the welfare of civil servants, Governor Ododo of Kogi State has emerged as a shining example of exemplary leadership, Comrade Otaru Muhammed Onimisi, Senior Special Assistant to the All Africa Students Union (AASU) President, has said.
He said that Governor Ododo’s administration’s consistent and prompt payment of salaries and benefits has set a new standard for governance, fostering a strong bond of trust between the government and its workforce.
“The timely disbursement of salaries has alleviated the financial anxieties of countless families, enabling civil servants to meet their obligations and lead dignified lives,” Governor Ododo said in a statement.
“This is not just a moral obligation, but a necessary step towards boosting morale and enhancing productivity in the public service”, Comrade Onimisi said.
He added that Governor Ododo’s tenure has been marked by financial prudence and transparency, with a focus on prioritizing the needs of civil servants. “We understand that civil servants are the backbone of our administration, and their welfare is critical to the success of our policies”.
The governor’s commitment to the welfare of civil servants extends beyond salaries, he said, saying that his administration has introduced comprehensive welfare programs designed to support civil servants beyond their monthly earnings.
These initiatives include health insurance, housing schemes, and capacity-building workshops, all aimed at improving the quality of life and professional growth of Kogi State’s workforce, he said.
“We are not just paying salaries; we are investing in the well-being and development of our civil servants,” Governor Ododo had said, adding that “This is a long-term strategy to build a motivated and productive workforce that can drive sustainable development in our state.”
Comrade Onimisi then commended Governor Ododo for his relentless dedication to the welfare of civil servants.
“His administration’s achievements serve as a model for other leaders, underscoring the profound impact of prioritizing the needs of the workforce in achieving broader societal progress,” Onimisi said.
He noted that Governor Ododo’s legacy is poised to inspire continued excellence and commitment in public service, setting a new standard for governance in Kogi State and beyond.
As he continues to prioritize the welfare of civil servants, his administration remains committed to fostering a conducive environment for efficient public service delivery and sustainable development, Comrade Onimisi concluded.
