Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, has reiterated the Federal Government’s unwavering commitment to addressing and eliminating the security challenges plaguing the nation. During a visit to Kaduna State, Minister Badaru conveyed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directives aimed at curbing insecurity in the North-West region and nationwide.
Minister Badaru emphasized the importance of collaboration between the Armed Forces, stakeholders, and affected communities to review and implement effective operational strategies. This collaborative approach, he noted, will enhance security and bring positive change.
As part of his two-day visit, Minister Badaru boosted troops’ morale by visiting the Headquarters of sub-sector 3 and section 1 Joint Task Force Operation Fansan Yamma in Birnin Gwari, Kaduna State. Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, praised Minister Badaru’s efforts, citing the Joint Military Command as evidence of the Federal Government’s dedication to regional security.
Governor Sani also urged Minister Badaru to consider integrating Operation Safe Haven under 1 Division, Kaduna, and commended progress on Operation Safe Corridor. Furthermore, he stressed the need for a Command and Control Centre to coordinate joint efforts against terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, and other criminal elements.
Minister Badaru’s reassurance comes as a beacon of hope for Nigerians affected by insecurity. The Federal Government’s commitment to tackling security challenges is expected to bring relief and stability to affected regions.
