President Tinubu’s Security Efforts Get Thumbs Up from Plateau Governor As Mutfwang Receives Defence Minister
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s security initiatives have received praise from Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb M. Mutfwang. The governor commended the president’s efforts during a courtesy visit from the Honourable Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar.
Mutfwang, represented by Deputy Governor Josephine Ngo Piyo, expressed appreciation for the president’s commitment to restoring peace in the state.
“We will support the Federal Government’s plans, including interactive engagement with affected Local Government Areas, traditional rulers, and other critical stakeholders to find lasting solutions to peace in the State,” Piyo said.
Minister Abubakar’s visit aimed to discuss improving security in Plateau State. He emphasized collaboration with stakeholders, including military personnel, traditional rulers, and local government areas affected by attacks.
The Minister also met with the Gbong Gwom Jos, who praised military efforts in restoring peace. “We have collaborated with all Security Agencies to achieve relative peace,” said the Emir of Wase, Alhaji Dr. Sambo Haruna.
Abubakar reassured the government’s commitment to improving security. “We will work with the State Government and traditional institutions to find lasting solutions to security challenges,” he stated.
This development underscores the federal government’s resolve to address security concerns in Plateau State and Nigeria.
