Kogi Government Reiterates Commitment Combating Criminality, Pledges Collaboration with Security Agencies
The Kogi State Government has reiterated its dedication to working closely with security agencies to combat criminal activities within the state.
This commitment was made clear by Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, represented by Deputy Governor Comrade Joel Salifu, during a courtesy visit from Quadri Ibrahim, Commandant of the Counter Terrorism Unit of the Nigeria Police Force.
Governor Ododo praised the Nigerian Police Force for their invaluable support in the state’s crime-fighting efforts, expressing confidence in their professionalism.
He vowed to continue the partnership and pledged additional resources to enhance Kogi’s security infrastructure, citing the positive outcomes of the ongoing state-police collaboration.
The Governor urged all security agencies to unite behind his administration, supporting decisions that safeguard residents’ lives and properties. This call to action underscores the state government’s proactive approach to security.
Quadri Ibrahim, Commandant of the Counter Terrorism Unit, commended Governor Ododo’s investments in security, assuring continued professionalism in ensuring public safety.
He also lauded the Governor’s inclusive governance style and thanked him for boosting morale among security personnel.
Under Governor Ododo’s leadership, Kogi State has made significant strides in security.
The state has established the Metropolitan Quick Response Squad, a security initiative in partnership with the Rapid Response Squad of the Nigeria Police and the state’s Joint Task Force, to tackle criminal activities.
