The Ministry of Defence has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja.

Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, alongside the Minister of State for Defence, H.E. Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle, and the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana, extended their deepest condolences to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Nigerian Army, and the bereaved family.
Lt. General Lagbaja’s death is seen as a significant loss to his family, the military, and the nation.
