Sunday Igboho Debunks Death Rumours, Reiterates Commitment to Yoruba Nation’s Self-Determination
Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, a prominent Yoruba Nation agitator, has dismissed rumours of his death, describing them as a ploy to disrupt the self-determination movement.
This comes barely two days after Igboho stated that many Nigerians are no longer proud to identify themselves as citizens of the West African nation due to corruption, insecurity, and a bad economy.
In a video seen online on Thursday, Igboho emphasized the need for various ethnic nationalities to be allowed to go their separate ways if the country cannot function as a unified entity.
He also highlighted the eagerness of Yoruba youths, who have gained valuable knowledge and experience from traveling worldwide, to transform the Yoruba nation into a modern, prosperous society similar to that of Europe.
However, rumours of Igboho’s death began circulating, prompting his media aide, Olayomi Koiki, to issue a statement reassuring supporters that Igboho is alive and in good health.
Igboho attributed the false reports to the Seyi Tinubu Youth Battalion Facebook page, describing them as a deliberate attempt to tarnish his image and derail the ongoing self-determination struggle.
In the statement, Igboho reaffirmed his commitment to the Yoruba Nation’s self-determination, emphasizing that the mission remains strong and unshaken.
He called on supporters to remain vigilant and focused on their collective goal, reiterating that the struggle for a better future for the Yoruba people will continue unabated.
The development has sparked renewed interest in Igboho’s advocacy for Yoruba self-determination, with many Nigerians taking to social media to express their support for his cause.
As the debate over Nigeria’s unity and the rights of ethnic nationalities continues, Igboho’s unwavering commitment to his ideals has cemented his position as a leading voice in the Yoruba Nation’s struggle for self-determination.
