Northern youths under the auspices of the Arewa Youth Assembly for Good Leadership (AYAGL) have enthusiastically congratulated Muhammad Babangida on his appointment as Chairman of the Nigerian Bank of Agriculture by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The group lauded the appointment as a clear indicator of Babangida’s competence and integrity, highlighting its potential to significantly bolster Nigeria’s agricultural and financial sectors.

In a statement signed by its President, Ambassador Abdul Danbature, the AYAGL also extended felicitations to other prominent individuals from the Northern region recently appointed to strategic roles.

The assembly emphasized that these appointments signify a renewed commitment to inclusion, regional balance, and a strategic utilization of Nigeria’s diverse human capital.

“This significant appointment is a strong testament to his competence, integrity, and readiness to contribute meaningfully to the growth of Nigeria’s agricultural and financial sectors,” the statement read, referring to Muhammad Babangida.

The AYAGL expressed profound appreciation to President Tinubu for his consistent efforts in upholding equity and fairness in governance, particularly through what they described as “balanced appointments in the true spirit of federal character.”

They commended the President for recognizing the potential of capable leaders from the North and urged him to continue this “commendable path” by appointing more qualified Nigerian youths into key leadership positions.

According to the AYAGL, such actions would not only accelerate national development but also reinforce the trust and hope of young people in the Nigerian project.

Furthermore, the youth assembly implored President Tinubu to intensify his efforts for the progress, peace, and prosperity of Northern Nigeria, aligning with his administration’s “Renewed Hope Agenda.”
