The newly elected National Chairman of the Democratic Leadership Alliance, DLA, Samuel Memeh, has pledged to reposition Nigeria through credible leadership, technology-driven development, and youth empowerment.
Barrister Memeh made the commitment in his acceptance speech after emerging as the party’s national chairman at the DLA National Convention held on Wednesday.
The party also announced that its presidential ticket would remain open to all Nigerians without zoning.
The DLA chairman described the alliance as Nigeria’s first ideologically driven political party, focused on building a productive economy, reforming the justice system, protecting farmers, and empowering young people through technology and leadership programmes.
He expressed concern over the growing hardship and insecurity across the country, especially the impact on rural communities and agricultural production.
Barrister Memeh urged the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to show greater compassion and seriousness in addressing the challenges facing Nigerians.
He assured party members that under his leadership, the DLA would remain disciplined, transparent, united, and committed to national interest above personal ambition.
The DLA chairman also said the party would continue to hold government accountable while providing practical solutions for national development.
He added that the party’s symbol, the golden pen, represents its determination to rewrite Nigeria’s political and developmental history through purposeful leadership and responsible governance.
