Director-General of the Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Council, Rt Hon. Funkekeme Solomon has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) alleged ward-to-ward campaign as a sham and height of deceit.

Funkekeme while speaking at the Burutu LGA PDP Ward-to-ward campaign at Ogulaha, Obotebe and Ayakoromo said the APC were combining about 5 to 6 wards at once to shore up their numbers yet claiming to be carrying out ward-to-ward campaign.

According to him, if they were indeed popular as they claimed , they should have followed what the PDP is doing by actually going to the 270 wards across the state.

Yesterday, the Burutu PDP kick-started the ward-to-ward campaign in Burutu starting from ward 11 Ogulagha, to ward 10 Obotebe through ward 7 Ayakoromo with massive crowds and funfare.

“In trying to emulate our style, APC led by the Director-General of the Omo-Agege Campaign Organisation, Godday Orubebe mobilised neighbouring communities such as Bomadi, Kpakiama, all the wards in Patani LGA and Burutu LGA to gather in ward 3 Tuomo town and called it ward-to-ward campaign as it is with PDP”s style.

“This is a deliberate way to deceive the unsuspecting public and we challenge them to visit various wards across the state just as the PDP has done.

“Making up crowd will not save them from the defeat that awaits them in the oncoming general elections,” Funkekeme stated.
