The Katsina State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KTSCHMA) has emerged victorious, securing the prestigious “Best State Health Insurance Agency of the Year 2024” award at the National Healthcare Excellence Awards in Lagos. This marks the second consecutive win for Katsina State, following its previous triumph in 2022.
Under the leadership of Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, Katsina State has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the health and well-being of its citizens. The state’s innovative approaches and strategic partnerships have improved healthcare outcomes, access, and affordability for its residents.
Dr. Bishir Gambo Saulawa, Commissioner for Health in Katsina State, has played a pivotal role in promoting healthcare excellence. His expertise extends beyond healthcare administration, with notable research contributions in environmental science, focusing on desertification, forest control, and management in dryland regions.
