From the result declared so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), President Goodluck Jonathan leads that of the main rival, General Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with a total of 19, 756 votes from results from eight states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The states are #Ekiti, where APC had a total of 120,331 votes and  PDP:176,466; #Enugu, APC:14,157, PDP:553,003; #Kogi,  APC:264,851, PDP:149,987; #Osun, APC:383,603,  PDP:249,929; #Ogun, APC:308,290, PDP:207,950; #Ondo,  APC:299,889, PDP:251,368; #FCT, APC:146,399, PDP:157,195, #Oyo, APC:528,620, PDP:303,376, #Nasawara, APC:236,838,  PDP:273,460.

The country is currently waiting for the continuation of declaration of results from the remaining 28 states as the INEC boss, Prof. Attahiru Jega is currently on seat for that purpose.
