Damaturu Explosions Death Toll Rises To 50 – Army

The Nigerian military has confirmed that not fewer than 50 people have been killed in the twin explosions that rocked Damaturu, the Yobe State capital on Friday morning.

Acting-Director of Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman, made this know in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja.

He confirmed that the explosions occurred at screening areas of the Eid prayer ground.

Usman said many other persons were injured in the explosions suspected to have been masterminded by some insurgents.
