The Bertrand Traore Case: Are Chelsea Actually Set For A Transfer Embargo?

Bertrand ToareGiven all that has gone wrong so far this season for Chelsea, the last thing their fans would have wanted to hear is that the club could possibly face a transfer ban. 

The story broke last night from the Press Association, who claimed that Chelsea’s acquisition of Burkina Faso international Bertrand Traoré could see them get  investigated by Fifa.

This is naturally a complicated story and one that is very much at the early stages of its development. We’ve run through some of the questions that Chelsea fans are likely to be asking in order to make sure you know exactly what’s going on.

Why are Chelsea possibly under investigation?

The key word here is “possibly”, as FIFA have so far refused to confirm an investigation is taking place, meaning we have had no official confirmation that Chelsea are in fact under special scrutiny.
