The Supreme Court has again affirmed the election of Senator Hope Uzodinma as Governor of Imo State, dismissing the application filed by the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate, Emeka Ihedioha, for the review of its January 14, 2020 judgment on the 2019 governorship election in Imo State.
In a judgment delivered on Tuesday by the seven-member panel led by the Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Tanko Muhammad, dismissed the application.
The court had earlier in the day stood down judgment after counsel to parties to the suit had made their final submissions.
Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress remains in office as winner of the March 9, 2019 governorship poll in the state.
