Ekwunife Mourns Iyom Patience Obiegbunam, Mother of Nri President General, Visits Family

The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Uche Ekwunife on Friday commiserated with the Obiegbunam family of Nri Kingdom over the death of their matriach, Iyom Patience Nneoma Obiegbunam.

Jonas Benson Okoye at St Mary’s Eucharist Parish Nri.

Eulogizing late Iyom Obiegbunam, Senator Ekwunife described the deceased as one who lived a purposeful life while on earth. Speaking after the burial mass, Ekwunife identified the deceased as a mother whose milk of kindness flowed beyond boundaries. She stated that the late Iyom will be remembered for her exemplary life while on earth.

The Senator equally asked God to grant late Iyom Patience Obiegbunam eternal rest as well as grant the Obiegbunam family the courage to mourn her.

On his part, the President General of Nri Community, Chief Dr. Kelvin Obiegbunam who also spoke after the burial mass appreciated Senator Ekwunife and her husband, Chief Larry Ekwunife for joining the Obiegbunam family to mourn their beloved Mother. He prayed God to reward them abundantly.

The ceremony continued at the Obiegbunam family compound, where they were joined by Senator Ekwunife, her husband, Chief Larry Ekwunife, PDP Anaocha LGA, other dignitaries, friends and well wishers who took turns to condole with the family.
