Chico Ejiro’s Death A Rude Shock to Me – Amb. Cornel Udofia
AMb. Cornel Udofia, Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of The Gladiators Magazine, suddenly breaks down over Chico Ejiro’s death.
According to him, the news of Chico Ejiro’s death on a Christmas day came as a rude shock to him.
Consequently, he couldn’t do anything meaningful in the day as he mourned the award winning filmmaker who’s sudden transition brought sad moments to many in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
Udofia, who made his feelings known to journalists, expressed his pains over the demise of Chico Ejiro.
He said: “Words alone cannot express how heart piercing the death of Chico Ejiro is.
“I’m talking about a man that i respect and hold in high esteem!
“Until his death, Chico was a proud member of CMC Gladiators of repute group since 2015 when the group was created.
“I have cancelled all my appointments for the Christmas, infact I still can’t believe that Chico that I spoke with just last week is dead.
“You mean Chico Ejiro’s night is now silent forever?
“Please tell me it’s a dream”, he lamented.
Chico was an authentic Nollywood pioneer and a great hero who will be remembered for his inimitable qualities and contributions in the movie industry. His unique style made Nollywood the most efficient film industry.
Chico Ejiro who had just concluded directing his new movie on Christmas Eve, was said to had died in the early hours of Friday from a seizure.
His remains has been deposited at an undisclosed morgue.
